Floating Sink Tip Fly Line

Dark Olive Head/Olive Running Line

These lines are designed and made with a floating line and integrated sink tip with varying sink rates so you can fine tune it with your application.  Each sink rate will allow you to fish at different depths, with different flies, and better target specific species of fish, or types of water.  Each different Sink Tip is color coordinated so if you have multiple tips you can tell which is which based off of color.  If you forget, the lines are also laser engraved to help you identify your line as well.  It is constructed with a PVC coating, and a 25lb low stretch braided core.  This gives this line the a slick coating for smooth casting, and performance.  The low stretch is important for strike detection.  These lines all come in a 4wt through 8wt

Sink Tip Features

  • The Intermediate is a S1 Sink rate or 1.5 to 2.5 ips (fishing depth of 1-2 feet).  This is ideal for fishing for trout, bass, or panfish over shallow beds.

Leader Recommendations

This fly line is designed to sink and get a fly into a particular zone of the feeding column and or depth of water to present and drift the fly as effectively as possible.  Since this line is designed for shallower waters and slower sink rates a longer leader can be more effective.  We love this line for small to medium size streamers, nymphs, and soft hackle-wet flies.  Our go-to leader for this is the Moonlit Big Hog Leader, 7-9 ft of straight fluorocarbon, or tapered fluorocarbon leader in the 7 1/2-9 ft length.  With a slower sink rate, you can still get a uniform sink rate with a longer leader.
