The Eclipse Reels are a machined die-cast reel with a smooth, sealed, drag system that consists of stainless steel and carbon discs.  The drag one turn adjustment knob is also fully machined.  These reels have more than enough room to take backing with any suitable fly line.  With all this the Eclipse gives you the highest performing reel for a real value that will put your mind at ease.  Pick from the two different color choices of Light Olive/Matte Black or Burnt Orange/Matte Black.

Love this reel!

Aside from the face that Moonlit Customer service is second to none, I purchased the 5/6 to pair with the 10' 3wt nymphing rod. Filled it with 100 meters of backing, Moonlit WF3F fly line and then a mono nymphing rig. Balance is perfect! I really like the esthetic and quality of the reel. You can pull the mono off and sling bugs for a hatch with the floating line. Looks right at home on a carbon or fiberglass rod. But especially the glass. ;)

good little reel

bought the Eclipse Reel 2/4 to go on my Moonlit Lunar S 2 WT rod and love both! Reel well balanced on rod, smooth, small and light weight; the black/olive reel on the green fiberglass rod very sharp looking- happy with purchase and great value!
