The finishing touch is a Semperfli 1/32" Mirage Tinsel wing case. What matters here isn't the color — it's the refractive quality Mirage tinsel brings to the thorax. That light-catching flicker mimics the subtle sheen real BWO nymphs show just before emergence, giving fish one more visual cue to key in on without turning the fly into an attractor pattern.
The net effect: same proven BWO nymph silhouette and profile that made the original SOS famous, with more lifelike movement, more durability, and a sharper hook-up geometry.
