Shadowcast Fiberglass Fly Rod (3wt or 5wt)

Shadowfire-Fiberglass-Fly-Rod

Our Shadowcast fiberglass fly rod is a beautifully designed medium/fast action rod, with an agate guide. This fly rod is well balanced, giving you casting accuracy and less arm fatigue. It has a soft crisp casting stroke making it a pure joy to cast. The rod allows you to feel the line loading, making it easier to find your rhythm or learn how to cast. This fly rod excels at casting dry flies, but also has the backbone to toss nymphs, and small to medium sized streamers as well. Once you cast it you won’t want to set it down.

Fly Rod Only Package Option:
You get the Shadowcast Fly Rod with cloth case and a nice zip-top hard case, that is it (NO REEL).

The Shadowcast fly rod comes with a LIFETIME WARRANTY.
Simply send us an email with a photo of the broken part and description of what happened. Once we receive this we send your part directly to you for a $45 service charge. Our warranty program will better allow our customers to get back on the water much faster than usual. We don’t believe it to be necessary to waste your time and money shipping the rod back and forth for repairs when we can just send you the part you need.

Customer Reviews:

Big Bass on 3wt Shadowcast Fiberglass fly rodJeff C.:
“I wanted to take a minute and send in a review of the new Shadowcast 3wt. I fish a lot of smaller streams in SE Ohio for all three black bass species we have, smallmouth, largemouth, and spotted bass. It’s typically a lot of close-quarters fishing, shorter casts with accuracy needed, with small streamers in the 2.5-3.5″ range. I’d start with the obvious, though…the rod is gorgeous. The wood real seat looks great and goes well with the color of the blank and wrappings. It’s just a beautiful piece of equipment. I fished the rod Saturday in a local flow with smallies using a 3wt WF floating line, fishing my typical patterns, and the rod handled them extremely well. I had no trouble delivering weighted and unweighted flies with accuracy. But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to see how it would handle a top-end fish for my area, and I got that chance towards the end of the morning. I hooked and landed a 17.5″ smallmouth, my personal best on the fly for this stream. The initial surges had the rod in a full flex, but the Shadowcast had the backbone to turn the fish from the rocks and steer it towards the net. I couldn’t be happier with the Shadowcast fiberglass fly rod and foresee a lot of outings and results like this with it.”

Shadowcast fiberglass fly rod Jake DJake D.:
“I originally demoed the Redington Butter Stick at Bass Pros, and was sure that it would be my next fly rod. Then I saw that there were local guys making glass rods and thought Id keep my money close to home. Not only does the Moonlit Shadowcast 3wt fiberglass fly rod have the same smooth glass feel but it also comes with a far better reel seat than the Redington. I was also able to get the combo, which included a loaded reel and custom furled leader, for the price point of the Redington rod only. Very happy with this purchase. An absolute must if you spend time on Birch, Bear, or Robinson creeks.”
